Get Happy (2016)
In 2007, I wrote the first draft of Get Happy, a rom-com about a perpetually miserable man who suddenly decides to be happy. In 2011, after many revisions, it won the bronze award in the comedy category of the Chicago Screenwriter’s Network screenplay competition. In 2013, after even more revisions, I sold it to a small production company started by recent NYU grads. With funding from backers in India, they assembled an excellent cast and crew of young and hungry talent and filmed it in NYC during the historically cold February 2014.
It competed in numerous film fests and screened at the prestigious Montreal International Film Festival. It is currently streaming on Amazon Prime.
